We encourage James Craig’s advocacy for our students and their families by:
• Ensuring that all our schools provide a safe and welcoming learning environment that empowers all students to achieve their full potential.
• Engaging families and providing them with the tools and support their children need to succeed.
• Supporting our teachers and making sure they have the resources they need to reach every student.
James is a strong advocate for school board independence and transparency, as well as investing in our schools’ infrastructure.
A Louisville attorney and father of two JCPS students, James has served two terms on the School Based Decision Making Council at Middletown Elementary School.
In addition to his law practice, he serves as Treasurer for the Metropolitan Housing Coalition and has extensive public policy experience, having served as Chairman of the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD). Additionally, he has served on the Citizens Commission on Police Accountability, and chairman of his church’s finance committee. James has been repeatedly recognized as a “Best Lawyer” in consumer law by Louisville Magazine and a member of the Business First “40 under 40” class.
